Adoption Home Studies and Services in North Alabama

All adoptions require a home study performed by a licensed professional. At some public adoption agencies, a home study can take months or even a year to complete. That's rarely the case at T.H.E. Social Work Services, LLC.

Our home study reports can be completed in as little as two months depending on how quickly you complete the paper work required.

A home study is an objective and narrative report  that assesses a family's ability to parent an adopted child.  It's based on personal interviews with the adoptive family, at least one home visit, written documentation of the family's living arrangements and income, and background clearances.

All that sounds very formal, official, and frightening to some prospective adoptive families - but it shouldn't!  An adoption Services, LLC isn't looking for "perfect" parents for every child, but rather a family that can offer a child a stable family life and who is prepared for the challenges and rewards of parenthood.

We know that you're impatient to get started with the adoption process, so we will make sure you understand what is required for a home study, schedule the home visits as quickly as possible, and complete our written report in a timely manner.

Our Alabama Adoption Home Study Checklist will help you assemble the information we need to begin the home study process.  You'll be asked to provide personal references, financial information, biographical information, health reports, and more.
